2-1. Respond to a Trial Lesson Application Within 24 Hours
トライアル申込みメールを24時間以内に返信する

Once your profile is active, you will receive trial lesson applications by email at any time. The email subject will be:

プロフィールが有効化されると、いつでもトライアルレッスンの申込みメールが届くようになります。件名は以下のとおりです：

Basic flow / 基本の流れ

  1. Receive the trial application email / トライアル申込みメールを受信する
  2. Reply to the student's email address within 24 hours (same day strongly recommended), with CC: eigoru.cc.noreply@gmail.com
    生徒様のメールアドレスに24時間以内（当日中が強く推奨）に返信。必ずCC: eigoru.cc.noreply@gmail.comを入れる
  3. Propose your available time slots close to the student's preferred schedule
    生徒様の希望スケジュールに近い自分の空き枠を提案する
  4. Confirm the trial lesson date and time with a second email
    2通目のメールでトライアルレッスンの日時を確定する

⚠ Check your spam and junk folders every day without exception.

Trial application emails sometimes land in spam. "I didn't see it" is not an accepted excuse. Missing a reply causes the student to move to another teacher — and generates a complaint against you.

スパム・迷惑メールフォルダを毎日必ず確認してください。「気づかなかった」は理由になりません。返信が遅れると生徒様は他の先生に移り、クレームになります。

⚠ Aim to reply within 24 hours. If you exceed 48 hours without reply, a ₱100 penalty applies and your new trial acceptance may be suspended automatically.

返信は24時間以内を目標にしてください。48時間を超えた場合は₱100のペナルティが発生し、新規トライアルの受付が自動停止される場合があります。

About Japanese beginners / 初心者の生徒様について

Many trial students have very low English ability. Add a Japanese translation to your reply email when dealing with beginners. You may use Google Translate, but review the output carefully — machine translation is not always accurate.

英語能力が非常に低いトライアル生徒様も多くいます。初心者の場合は返信メールに日本語訳を添付してください。Google翻訳を使用しても構いませんが、内容を必ず確認してください。

2-2. Conduct the Trial Lesson
トライアルレッスンを実施する

The trial lesson is 25 minutes, free for the student. You are paid for it only if the student decides to continue with you afterward.

トライアルレッスンは25分間で、生徒様には無料です。先生への報酬は、生徒様がトライアル後に継続を決定した場合のみ支払われます。

Before the lesson / レッスン前

  • Confirm the student's preferred lesson type from their application form (MS Teams or LINE / video, audio, or chat)
    申込みフォームで希望レッスン形式（MS TeamsまたはLINE / ビデオ・音声・チャット）を確認する
  • For beginners or children, email in advance to ask what they would like to study
    初心者や子供の場合は、事前にメールで「何を学びたいか」を確認する
  • Be online on MS Teams or LINE at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time
    予定時間の15分前にはオンライン状態にしておく

⏰ 10 seconds late is already considered late by Japanese standards.

日本人の感覚では「10秒の遅刻も遅刻」です。レッスン開始のずっと前に準備を整えてオンラインにしておいてください。

During the lesson / レッスン中

  • Keep your webcam on at all times unless internet becomes unstable and the student agrees to turn it off
    インターネット不安定で生徒様が同意した場合を除き、ウェブカメラは常にオン
  • Speak slowly and clearly, especially with beginners and children
    特に初心者や子供には、ゆっくり明瞭に話す
  • Focus on building rapport — understand the student's goals, level, and preferred style
    ラポール構築を最優先に。生徒様の目標・レベル・希望スタイルを理解する
  • Do not give a long self-introduction — give the student more time to speak
    自己紹介を長くしない。生徒様が話す時間を多く取る
  • Correct pronunciation and grammar politely, both verbally and in the chat box
    発音・文法の訂正は丁寧に。口頭とチャットボックスの両方で行う
  • End with a brief, positive wrap-up and a clear goodbye
    レッスンをポジティブな短いまとめと明確なお別れで終える

What the trial lesson is — and is not / トライアルレッスンでやること・やらないこと

The trial is a time to understand the student's needs and build trust. It is not a time to pressure the student into continuing. Never push for a commitment during the lesson itself. Follow up by email after the lesson instead.

トライアルは生徒様のニーズを理解し、信頼関係を築く時間です。継続を迫る時間ではありません。レッスン中に決断を求めるのは禁物です。レッスン後にメールでフォローアップしてください。

2-3. Send the Continuation Email and Notify EIGORU
継続確認メールを送りエイゴルに通知する

After the trial lesson, send a Lesson Continuation email to the student by email — not through Teams or LINE chat. This email asks whether the student would like to continue on a regular schedule.

トライアルレッスン後、生徒様に継続意向確認メールを送ってください。TeamsやLINEのチャットではなく、メールで行ってください。

If the student says YES / 生徒様がYESと答えた場合

  1. Send a follow-up email asking the student to choose their preferred regular schedule from your available time slots
    自分の空き枠を示し、定期スケジュールを選んでもらうメールを送る
  2. Recommend at least 2 lessons per week, but accept 1 lesson per week if needed
    週2回以上を推奨するが、週1回でも受け入れる
  3. Once the schedule is agreed, the student becomes a regular (paid) student — proceed to PART 3
    スケジュールが合意されたら、継続（有料）生徒様となる。PART 3へ進む

📋 Notify EIGORU when a student confirms continuation / 継続確定時はエイゴル事務局に通知する

Forward the original trial application email to eigoru.office@gmail.com
Subject: Continued: [Student Nickname] / [Your Profile Number-Nickname]

最初のトライアル申込みフォームのメールを eigoru.office@gmail.com に転送してください。
件名：「継続確定：[生徒様のニックネーム] / [先生のプロフィール番号-ニックネーム]」
これによりエイゴルがあなたの継続生徒様を把握します。先生側に緊急事態や問題が発生した場合、エイゴルから生徒様に直接連絡を入れることができるようになります。

Note on oral confirmation / 口頭確認について

In practice, some teachers and students confirm continuation verbally during the trial. This is understood and not strictly prohibited. However, a follow-up email is always safer — some students may say "yes" during the lesson without fully understanding what they agreed to.

実務上、トライアルレッスン中に口頭で継続を確認するケースもあります。これは黙認されています。ただし、メールによるフォローアップは常により安全です。英語が十分に理解できない状態でYESと答えてしまう生徒様もいるためです。

イレギュラー対応

2-IR-1. The student did not attend the trial lesson / 生徒様がトライアルレッスンを無断欠席した場合

Send an email asking why they were absent and offer to reschedule. If there is no reply within 3 days, treat the trial as cancelled — no further action needed.

欠席の理由を確認し、日程変更を提案するメールを送ってください。3日以内に返信がなければ、トライアルはキャンセルとして扱います。それ以上の対応は不要です。

2-IR-2. You need to reschedule the trial lesson / 先生側がスケジュール変更をお願いしたい場合

If a scheduling conflict arises on your side, you may politely ask the student to reschedule. Be aware that some students will accept the change, and some may cancel entirely.

やむを得ない事情がある場合、丁寧に日程変更をお願いできます。生徒様によっては変更を受け入れる方も、キャンセルする方もいることを理解してください。

2-IR-3. The student says they will not continue / 生徒様が継続しないと答えた場合

No further action required. Re-open your time slot for other students. You will not be paid for the trial lesson in this case.

それ以上の対応は不要です。その時間枠を他の生徒様のために空けてください。この場合、トライアルレッスンの報酬は支払われません。
